Old Horários do Funchal Tickets Usable Until End of October
Horários do Funchal (HF), the Madeira-based urban transport operator, has again extended the period during which customers can load and use pre-purchased tickets. The extension allows passengers to continue using their old HF passes and tickets under specific conditions.
The new maximum deadline to load trips is October 31, 2025, although the option could end earlier if the SIGA network begins selling pre-purchased trips before this date. The last day to use the loaded trips is also set for October 31, 2025.

Loading Available Only Through Payshop Agents
Customers should note that the loading of pre-purchased HF trips is only available at Payshop agents. Loading cannot be done at HF service counters or through HF automatic machines. The operator reminded passengers that old GIRO tickets and GIRO chip passes are valid only on the HF urban network using the old validators.
Unused Trips Will Not be Refunded or Transferred
Trips loaded onto old HF tickets up to October 31, 2025, must be used by that date. Any trips remaining unused after October 31 will not be transferred to the new system and will not be refunded. HF emphasized that
