Multiple Lobo Marinho Sightings Within Few Days
Funchal recently welcomed a playful visitor, a Lobo Marinho which was spotted romping in the Funchal bay. Just days later, another sighting of either the same or a different Lobo Marinho occurred a few kilometers further west at Praia Formosa. Sandra Oliveira captured this moment on video today, as reported by Diário de NotÃcias Madeira. The unexpected presence of the sea lion surprised and delighted bystanders and beachgoers alike.
Lobo Marinhos Are Known To Be Shy But Curious And Playful
Lobo Marinhos inhabit coastal areas, rocky shores, and sea caves, favoring generally secluded spots away from humans. They often pass through the Madeira archipelago during migration and are also naturally nosy animals, often exploring new areas out of curiosity.
