Airports in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) saw strong growth in June 2025, according to ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal and the Regional Statistics Office (DREM). See the statistics in comparison to June 2024 below:

• Flights (commercial): 3,521 – up ↑ 17.4%

Madeira Airport:

• Passengers: 489,500 – up ↑ 16.0%

• Flights: 3,219 – up ↑ 19.0%

Porto Santo Airport:

• Passengers: 32,400 – up ↑ 2.5%

• Flights: 302 – up ↑ 2.7%

Domestic vs. International Traffic

Passenger Type – June 2025:

• International: 283,100 – up ↑ 20.9%

• Domestic: 238,800 – up ↑ 8.8%

By Airport:

• Madeira Airport:

  • 57.2% international

  • 42.8% domestic

• Porto Santo Airport:

  • 90.0% domestic – up from 84.5% in June 2024
