Central Pools Parking to Open on May 30
A new parking lot named Central Pools Parking will officially open in Porto Moniz on Friday, May 30, at 11 a.m. The facility is located at Rua de Francisco Moniz o Velho, in the village center. This private development created without public funds aims to help residents and visitors find parking more easily, especially near shops and beach areas.
Features Designed for Comfort and Safety
The parking lot includes 135 parking spaces and incorporates several modern and environmentally friendly features. These include:
Electric vehicle charging stations
LED lighting with motion sensors
Bird-friendly lighting
A digital system to manage available spaces
Eco-friendly pavement and integrated green areas.
Investment of Over Two Million Euros
According to João Carlos Nunes, the manager of the company that owns the project, this investment - set to exceed 2 million euros, with over 700,000 euros already spent during the construction phase - aims to address issues of organization and the improvement of Porto Moniz as a destination.
Rate For Parking in Porto Moniz
The Municipal Regulation governing municipal taxes defines the following parking rates:
Minimum rate: 0,20€
Per hour: 0,80€
Every 15 minutes: 0,20€
