José Carlos Gonçalves Wins São Vicente Mayoral Race with Nearly Half the Votes

José Carlos Gonçalves, leading the Chega party, won the mayoral election in São Vicente with 49.23% of the vote, totaling 1,705 ballots. The result unseated the Social Democratic Party (PSD), which received 38.93% (1,348 votes). The Socialist Party (PS) came third with 8.35% (289 votes). This outcome grants Chega three of the five council seats, leaving PSD with two.
